Outbound Email (SMTP)
Configure SMTP settings and validate email delivery with a test message.
Definitions
- SMTP Host / Port: Your email provider’s server and port (commonly 587 for TLS).
- Use SSL/TLS: Enables encrypted SMTP sessions.
- Use default credentials: Uses server credentials instead of username/password (depends on environment).
- Keep existing password: Leave password blank to retain the stored encrypted secret.
- From Email / From Name: The sender identity used in outbound notifications.
How to configure SMTP
- Go to Admin Hub → Outbound Email (SMTP)
- Click Load current to view existing values
- Enter/confirm Host, Port, SSL/TLS, Username
- If you do not want to change the saved password:
- Leave Password blank
- Check Keep existing password
- Set From Email and From Name
- Click Save settings
How to send a test email
- Enter a recipient address in Send test email (to)
- Click Send test
- Confirm delivery in the recipient inbox (and spam/junk folder)
Common Issue: Some providers require verifying the “From” domain before sending (DMARC/SPF verification).
