Approval Hub — Resend Email
Use “Resend” when a renewal is Pending Approval and the current approver needs the email again.
When the Resend Button Appears
- The renewal status must be Pending Approval.
- If Tech is not approved yet → Resend goes to the Technical Owner.
- If Tech is approved but Budget is not approved → Resend goes to the Budget Owner.
- If both are approved (or status is not Pending Approval) → Resend shows as disabled/“—”.
Steps to Resend
- Go to Approval Hub.
- Find the renewal in Pending Approval.
- Click Resend.
- Confirm the toast message indicates whether it was resent to:
- Tech approver, or
- Budget approver
If Resend fails: Confirm the approver email is populated on the renewal (Ownership section) and that SMTP settings are valid.
Recommended Internal Controls
- Only resend after confirming the approver hasn’t already acted.
- Avoid repeated resends (spam risk). Prefer a quick Slack/Teams ping first.
- If the renewal was edited significantly, consider restarting the workflow (per your internal policy).
