Cloud Backup & Attachments (AWS S3)
Configure S3 and validate connectivity for cloud backup and attachment storage.
What S3 is used for
- Cloud backups: upload database backups to an S3 bucket
- Renewal attachments: store uploaded renewal files in S3 (when enabled in your workflow)
Credentials may also be provided via environment variables in production environments.
How to configure S3
- Go to Admin Hub → Cloud Backup & Attachments (AWS S3)
- Click Load current to view any saved configuration
- Enter Region, Bucket, and (if needed) Access Key / Secret Key
- If the secret is already stored and you are not rotating it, leave it blank to keep it.
- Click Save config
Status badge: “Enabled” indicates a usable Region + Bucket configuration is present.
Test + Upload backup
- Click Test connection to validate S3 access
- Click Upload a backup to S3 to push a database backup to the configured bucket
If Test fails: confirm IAM permissions (ListBucket, GetObject, PutObject) and the correct region/bucket name.
